'Following a family tradition of many decades, “Emm. Protogerakis’ Sons” has been active in production, packaging and trade of olive oil, sustaining one of the very best and most well equipped facilities in Greece. Being faithful to its values and its history, the company produces exclusively superior quality and extra low acidity extra virgin olive oil, offering a product to near perfection.

1930

Evangelos Protogerakis founded the first plant of olive oil production in the region of Kamares, Heraklion. Dedicated to the production of extra virgin olive oil since the very first day, Mr. Protogerakis has been constantly upgrading his business and taking up all the recent innovations.

1973

The plant moved to the region of Vori, Heraklion, in buildings well ahead of their time. At the same time, it got equipped with the finest machinery of the market.

1989

The business adopted the most recent innovations and obtained state-of-the-art centrifugal machinery. Sophisticated storage facilities were also constructed.

1995

The company developed even further, through the construction of a semi-automatic packaging unit.

1998

Full upgrading of the production plant.

2005

Major changes to modernize the business at building, storage and machinery levels.

Today, the business is run by Protogerakis Brothers, Vangelis and Mihalis (grandsons of the founder).

By staying in line with their traditional commitment to the quality of olive oil, they have succeeded in getting the latest technology and top quality in their plant, storage facilities and machinery, guaranteeing their company a rightful place among the best olive oil production and processing companies in Greece.
